I created Krysia's Web initially to showcase my writing, to put it out there for the world to enjoy, and most importantly, to tell the story the way I wanted it told. I've written romance stories for the last two decades. I've even half-heartedly tried to get published, or at least sell my idea to a literary agent, only to be told I was "too young".

Later, I looked at the steps a romance writer had to dance in order to break through and be published, and I was not just irritated, but offended. As a long-time reader of the genre, I was insulted. The fact the the major publishing houses for romance fiction insisted on specific "formulas" for their publications told me that I had no imagination. Could not handle a story that took a reader outside "the norm". Sure, as any romance story-teller knows, at some point the two main characters will meet, interact, fall in love, et cetera. Good story-tellers time these steps instinctively, and they flow in such a way that any hint of "formula" is invisible. But, there's more to a story than man meets woman or what-have-you. There's also a formula to the content within the story, and categories in which those stories are placed. It just seemed to me to leave little room for flexibility, originality, and creativity. I didn't want to write to fit some restricted view of a story. I wanted to tell the story how the story wanted to be told.

Krysia's Web Books is for romance writers like myself, who have a wonderful, romantic story that perhaps doesn't fit into a standardized formula. Perhaps you have a story that has detailed love scenes, but not enough detail to put it into the "erotica" category, but too much to be put into the "romance or super romance" categories. Or perhaps there's an element of fantasy in your story, enough of the unreal to have it lean towards science-fiction, but too much romance in it to be considered "science-fiction". Krysia's Web Books is for writers who just have a great story to tell and want to tell it how it should be told, without the restrictions found commonly elsewhere.

Krysia's Web Books is a full service, royalty paying, ePublishing company. No author represented by Krysia's Web Books will pay any fees to ePublish their books. Due to the simple fact of costs being lower in ePublishing, it affords us the opportunity to offer our authors higher royalties, quicker turn-around times, and a broader scope for promotion.

We pay authors 40% - 45% (see The Contract for more info) of retail of all download sales.

We ask electronic rights for only 2 years (see The Contract for more info).

We will edit your manuscript although we expect authors to self-edit before submission (see Submission Guidelines).

We will provide cover art for your book. You are welcome to use your own if you are free to do so.

We will assign an ISBN number to your work.

Krysia's Web Books is small and plans to stay that way, yet we will do all that is financially possible to promote the authors' titles we represent. Each author will have his/her own page on our website where bio information, picture, and excerpt from book can be found. Each author will be given their own forum on our message board where they can open up discussion about their book(s) and address and converse with their fans personally. We will solicit reviews, issue press releases, and promote the titles in a variety of other ways.

Krysia's Web Books has no plans to expand to include writing genres other than romance. It's all about The Love here at KWB.

Important: Authors must take an active role in their promotion. Establishing name recognition will be the author's primary goal and this is of extreme importance in the ePublishing field. Why is it so important? Because ePublishing and eBooks are a relatively new arena for book publishing and sales.

Please read the entire Submission Guidelines carefully. It is vitally important to follow the procedure exactly. Submissions that do not follow the guideline protocol will not be considered.
